How To Fill Oversized Bean Bags
Firstly, we have worked with 1000’s of clients and I want to share something that can have devastating effects if not mentioned:
Large bean bags are prone to enormous amounts of pressure if more than a few people are sitting on them.
Therefore, the thread used for all large bean bags needs to be extremely strong.
And If the stitch lines are placed in points where people sit on (the weakest part of any bean bag) disaster can strike.
Designing for long term use is just as important as the quality of materials used.
With that to one side, lets get to the best choices on offer!
Huge Single Bean Bags
If you are only looking for a huge bean bag for one person, than these designs may fit the bill.
Technically these first designs could fit more than one, but it can get a little squishy for adults.
If you are looking to stretch out, then the Unwind recliner or the Flip chair might work better.
These designs allow you to pack them away when you don’t have the space to spare.
Large Bean Bag Chairs
The joy of designing bean bags which look like furniture means you can enjoy “large proportions” combined with bean bag comfort.
Which is truthfully, pretty hard to beat.
If you are looking for a larger set up. Than perhaps combining smaller pieces together might work better for you.

Giant Bean Bag Beds
When thinking of new products to begin designing, we ask ourselves this one question:
How can we make it even better?
One day when sitting on a hard pool deck chair, I thought… Couldn’t we create a softer version of this?
And could we find a way to improve on the design?
So, after a lot of sketches, prototypes and experimentation we came up with the Double day bed shown below:
With an internal piece of fabric right down the centre of the bean bag.
This keeps the compartments separated from one another.
I noticed that once you find the perfect position when lying down, it is annoying when someone shifts their body weight next to you.
It is seemingly even more frustrating when you have your head completely back and are stretched out, completely relaxed.
As opposed to just sitting that is.
The day bed was born so you will always “own your side”
Never disturbed and never put out of place.
Whether deep in sleep or just in the middle of a cliff-hanger of a thrilling movie.
Big Two-Seater Bean Bags
Resting on your own is great.
But if you have a loved one or mate to share some down time with, you might need a big two-seater bean bag.

All of these large two seaters above will work wonders for home use.
The “Two Seater Sofa” option being a little larger in width and depth.
For commercial use the two-seater sofa is the popular choice due to the greater seating length.
8ft Bean Bag and Custom Sizes
A lot of clients have asked us for 6ft and 8ft bean bag designs.
Crafting customised bean bags is something we can certainly do.
All our craftsmen are trained furniture makers and have been crafting traditional furniture for decades.
With this experience behind every item we make, we have crafted many one-off pieces that match any length or width you need.

How to Fill Oversized Bean Bags
It can take a lot of work to fill a huge bean bag.
And to prevent the mess that comes from filling one I wanted to share these tips:
1. Throw whole bags of bean filling into the bean bag cover itself
2. Cut the clear plastic cover of the bean filling once inside the bean bag
3. Pull the clear plastic cover back out of the bean bag opening
The idea behind this is that the beans are always contained and spilling is prevented.
Our bean bag openings are quite large so you can do this without too much hassle.
Once you can’t fit any more bags of beans within the opening, then having a friend comes in handy at this point.
Have another person hold the bean bag open while you poor the remaining bean filling in.
NOTE: If you are stranded on your own, then clip the opening of the bean bag to the edge of a table.
Having the other side hang down will act as if a second person is helping you keep it open.
Also – If you have a bath to fill your giant bean bag up in, certainly helps with spillage.
Making it a lot easier to scoop up loose beans that might be floating around afterwards.
Conclusion
Massive bean bags are like resting on clouds.
They make it so simple to melt stress away.
Just be sure they are made well.
If XL bean bags are constructed poorly they are prone to busting a lot more than smaller bean bags.
This is because of the added pressure that comes from a bigger structure and the ability to fit more people on them.
Try to avoid bean bags where the stitch lines are constructed across the main seating position.
Since stitch lines are the “weakest” point on a huge bean bag and may not fare well as time goes on.
If constructed from heavy grade fabric with thick thread to bind panels together then huge bean bags will last you a lifetime.
