In this article you’ll discover the best options for Girls Bean Bags.
(And most importantly) which one will work best for you.
With SO much choice out there, it can be downright confusing to decide which ones should be ruled out.
Let’s dive right in…
Girls Bean Bag Chairs
Since the first modern bean bag was invented in the 1960’s we have certainly moved ahead.
Many bean bags now resemble modern furniture and that is great news.
Mainly, because it means girls don’t have to worry about posture issues and worrying about back support.
These Chairs below work well for growing bodies in different age groups:
The benefit of the chair bean bags we create it that they are double stitched along all high pressure points internally.
This ensures children can lean as far back as they like on the chair bean bag and it won’t fall back or deform under pressure.
“L” shaped bean bag chairs mean that the majority of body weight is on the base of the chair, this also prevents the chair from shifting in any direction, keeping it nice and stable.
Designing Your Own Bean Bag
Creating your own bean bag has never been easier.
Choosing colour combinations using our website can make life a little easier.
Simply choose a style by clicking on the “Bean Bag” link at the top of the website and start picking colours.
You may want to consult your little one before making a colour choice.
However, if it helps we have created a little chart diagram below to show which colours work well together.
Best Colours For Girls Bean Bags
Depending on the setting you are catering for colour choices can differ.
We sell a lot of our bean bags to event management companies and party hire firms.
Based on the theme they choose custom-made bean bags can be mixed and matched to suit any environment.
Traditionally, Girls colours are pink and purple. Funnily enough Pink was actually considered a “boys” colour – a derivative of red, a war-like colour which was associated with men fighting in battles throughout history.
Due to the advancement of technology however, once we knew if we were having a boy or girl nurseries could be designed before the birth and we stuck with Pink for girls and Blue for boys primarily since the late 1950’s.
If we began with Pink as the main “Top” colour of a bean bag, Brightside mentions that the best combinations are:
Traditionally, another common colour combination for girls works with these colours combined below:
Surprisingly, many people also site the simple option of Pink on top with black on the base if you are looking for a strong colour contrast.
Which ever colour you choose for your new girl’s furniture; the main benefit is they will all stand up to the strictest safety requirements.
Safety Above All – Highest Rated Children’s bean bags
Millions of bean bags are used Worldwide, in fact we have personally sold 1000’s of bean bags to Day care centres, Hospitals and Schools across Australia.
And the number one question we are asked about is:
“How are the beans kept away safely?”
By law, all bean bags sold in Australia need to be fitted with a warning label and are not allowed to contain a zipper handle on the zipper itself.
This is to prevent little hands being able to access the inner filling of a bean bag.
We take it one step further and have an in-built lock fitted to each zipper. This is a lock which automatically locks the bean bag unless the trigger is accessed to open the lock.
Ensuring an extra level of protection this means beans are permanently locked away unless an adult has access to a paper clip and knows that the safety trigger needs to be lifted up to release the lock and open the zipper. (instructions are provided with every bean bag shipped).
For one final level of protection, we add in an extra vinyl piece across the end of the zipper.
This serves well for two reasons:
1. It prevents children from seeing the end of the zipper once it is tucked away.
2. It protects wooden floors and carpets or rugs from catching on the zipper lock.
How to keep girl bean bags clean
I have a little girl at home, and although she has grown since this photo was taken 😊 her bean bag (she is sitting on) still remains clean.
You might think choosing white would be a terrible colour for little toddlers and girls, especially now that we find sticky fingers prints over the bean bag on a daily basis. 😊
But, since the fabric we use is a commercial grade vinyl, it makes it incredibly easy to keep clean.
A little warm water will wipe away most stains we find.
For very tough stains like pen ink, Eucalyptus Oil will do the trick. And can be found at most Supermarkets.
The benefit of using a natural oil, is you don’t need any harsh chemicals around your girls.
This oil won’t stain the bean bag in anyway and is relatively inexpensive, especially since all you need is a small dab of the oil of a cloth to rub over the stain.
Toddler Bean Bags
We have a small bean bag for girls up to the age of 6.
This works well for our Day care clients and Kindergartens that we supply.
Low to the ground and easy to move around it makes it a popular choice.
We just would not recommend this bean bag for children over 6 years of age.
Girl’s over 6 will be a little too big for the chair and won’t be able to rest in it comfortably.
Outdoor Use Bean Bags
The reason our bean bags are popular is because they have a lifetime warranty and will grow with your girl.
So even when all grown up, it will still serve her well.
One added benefit of using quality fabrics that last a lifetime is they also happen to be weatherproof.
Dragging them outdoors and using them on a deck, by a pool or at the beach is completely fine.
They are made of Marine Grade Vinyl, the same fabric used on the interiors of luxury boats so will fair very well to what nature has to throw at them.
Conclusion
Bean Bags for girls are a great furniture choice, they are soft without the dangerous sharp edges for them to accidently run into or fall onto.
Easy to keep clean, designed to last a lifetime with the added benefit of working indoors and out.
We hope this post helps explain a little more about safety concerns carers might have. And can help inject a little fun with some colour combinations that work well for either a classroom or girls room.
