Bliss Bean Bags has partnered up with Zip, so we thought to answer some common questions customers have about Zip to buy bean bags.
Is it Free to Use?
Zip Pay is free to use for the first 60 days.
How does it work?
1. You can order a bean bag online through our site.
2. We create your bean bag for you and have it sent off asap.
3. You then have 60 days to pay Zip back, (not us directly).
After 60 days they will charge you $6 a month to keep an account open with them and also charge a minimum of $40 every month (Or $10 a week) to pay back the original cost.
We say “minimum” as you can pay back more to clear your account with them sooner.
How Does Zip make money?
We pay a percentage of the order amount directly to ZipPay.
This allows our customers to pay them back over time and it means we can focus on what we do best… Constructing bean bags in Australia.
If the account is not completely paid off within 60 days, ZipPay then makes money by charging a $6 monthly account keeping fee.
This may not sound like much, but with over 700,000 people in Australia using ZipPay that is a lot of money they make by offering this service.
Of course, this comes with risk to them as many people default on their payments to ZipPay and they have to take these losses as part of the business they’re in.
Using ZipPay to Order Bean Bags online:
Once you design your own bean bag and click “Add to Cart”
You are then directed to the Online Cart.
At this stage, you can confirm what you ordered and click on the “Checkout with ZipPay” button.
Just like many online stores, you are then transferred to fill in your details on the next page.
Such as name and delivery address.
At the bottom of the page you will see the circle marked: “Own it now”.
This is the only option available (Credit Card is the alternative way to pay)
When you click on “Place Order” You will see this screen:
You can create a new account or you can sign in with an existing ZipPay account you might have.
Once you click through to sign up for a new account you will see this screen:
The process for approval shouldn’t take more than 3 minutes.
Unfortunately, ZipPay might deny an account to be opened and frustratingly you won’t know why they did this.
